Edition 2: Self Image explores how artists engage with the representation of identity. Bringing together painting and mixed media works, the exhibition examines emotional states and memory, showing how recollection can insinuate awareness of the self. Works are often inspired by the subconscious, shaping experience beyond direct recollection.
This edition highlights the contemporary diversity of material and practice, presenting artists who investigate self-image through individual experience. Participating artists include Fedora Akimova, Sopho Mamaladze, Mariam
Kvashilava, Tedo Rekhviashvili, Lia Shvelidze, and Oto Tsagareishvili.
Installation View
The exhibition features memory fragments and personal visual symbols that evoke presence, emotion, and thought. Across intimate formats and larger compositions, it reflects the evolving understanding of self-image, revealing how its perception is continually formed, developed, and reinterpreted.
